As websites are being developed and maintained, they need to be accessible to users of all abilities. An upcoming workshop will cover the basics of the role of a web accessibility tester, including some of the common accessibility issues that testers examine and resolve. The program will take place on August 14, 2024 from 7 to 8:30 pm ET. Offered by the Andrew Heiskell Braille and Talking Book Library of the New York Public Library (NYPL), the session will also go over resources for finding out more about the role of a web accessibility tester and how to prepare to enter this profession. Anyone interested in “learning how to audit websites for accessibility” may attend this exploratory workshop. For additional details and to register, visit the NYPL webpage describing What you Need to Know to explore Web Accessibility Testing.
