On March 28, 2024, from 2 to 3 pm ET, this webinar will concentrate on “how understanding and addressing emerging vision and eye health issues can help young children have their best possible vision.” Participants will learn about how vision conditions, such as myopia (or nearsightedness) can impact children’s learning and development as well as lifelong health, opportunities, and productivity. Key topics covered will include vision problems occurring in young children, symptoms and treatments, how to support children who are nearsighted in the classroom and at home, helping families receive recommended treatments for eye health, and more. The program is sponsored by the National Center for Health, Behavioral Health, and Safety (part of the Office of Head Start).
