Virtual Conversation on Audio Descriptions in the Creative Arts

The Filomen M. D’Agostino Greenberg (FMDG) Music School offers a series of online “Conversations with The Fil” that are free of charge and open to the public. This series aims to make people more familiar with musicians, writers, artists, dancers, and actors who are visually impaired and are “working to make accessibility and inclusion a hallmark feature of their work.” Their next conversation brings together two guest speakers: Amanda Wheeler, former FMDG Music School Director of Administration and a professional live audio describe; and Nefertiti Matos Olivares, a current FMDG student and professional voice talent specializing in audio description who also works with Descriptive Video Works and the Social Audio Description Collaborative. The program will take place on October 14, 2024 from 7 to 8 pm ET. To sign up and receive a Zoom link, RSVP to [email protected]. Additional details are available here for Conversations with The Fil: Large Print Music.
