Dedicated to Improving the Lives of Blind and Visually Impaired People

Verbal Description Museum Tour: December 3, 2024

“Vibrant Verbal Description Tours,” offered each month by Poster House, are designed for community members who are blind or have low vision. This month’s tour will highlight the exhibition, Lester Beall and A New American Identity, which is on display at the museum in New York through February 25, 2025. Lester Beall was hired to advertise the work of the Rural Electrification Administration (REA) instituted as part of the economic recovery plan during the Great Depression in the 1930s. This exhibition showcases his work during this period as well as “his contributions to American modernism up through World War II.” Those registering for the tour will be emailed poster images for reference and information about accessing the Zoom link for the session. To register, email [email protected] or call 914-294-2387. Learn more here about this Vibrant Verbal Description Tour: Lester Beall & A New  American Identity.
