On September 16, 2024 from 8:30 to 9:30 pm ET, Tele-Support Talk: Seeing Beyond – Griffin Pinkow’s Journey of Resilience and Impact brings participants the story of Pinkow’s transition from “a healthy teenager to gradually losing sight.” He will share how he dealt with the diagnosis of retinitis pigmentosa (RP), a degenerative disease of the retina. Accepting that “he couldn’t change the fate of his vision,” Pinkow has focused on overcoming the challenges of his vision impairment and has dedicated his own efforts to “helping the visually impaired lead fulfilling lives” and to raising public awareness. For additional details and to register, visit the webpage on Seeing Beyond – Griffin Pinkow’s Journey of Resilience and Impact.

On September 17, 2024 from 3 to 4 pm ET, a Tech Event: Mac versus PC will provide insights into how to determine which of these computer platforms work best for individual users. This event will explore magnification and contrast options, consider advantages and disadvantages of each computer, and help participants “make the most” out of their computer experience.
