Tomorrow, December 10, 2024 at 3 pm ET, 2024 in Review: Assistive Technology Innovations, Web Accessibility and Reddit /r/Blind, a webinar, will review recent developments in assistive technology for people who are blind or have low vision, highlighting the growth and impact of AI-powered tools and wearables. The guest speaker will be Norbert Rum, a web accessibility specialist and founder of the /r/Blind community on Reddit, a platform featuring discussions about “accessibility, advocacy, and the lived experiences of people with vision loss.” Moderators will be Lighthouse Guild’s Bryan Wolinski, OD, FAAO, Chief Technology Officer, and Shanell Matos, technology assistant. On December 12, 2024 from 1 to 2 pm ET, Ask the TVI (Teacher of the Visually Impaired): Assistive Technology will explore assistive technology for students who are blind or have low vision.
