The World Glaucoma Congress (WGC) Film Festival “aims to put storytelling power in the hands of glaucoma experts and seeks to showcase the role of individuals and communities as champions for glaucoma, diagnosis, and treatment.” This Festival features films that are directly or indirectly related to glaucoma and focus on the disease locally, nationally, and globally. The goal is “to screen films that demonstrate, educate, inspire, and encourage a change” to reduce blindness and visual disability worldwide. WGC invites glaucoma experts, advocates, and surgeons to submit videos for consideration for the 2025 WGC Film Festival by November 29, 2024. Videos must not be longer than six minutes, with a title that describes the material “appropriately.” Films selected for the Festival will be shown at WGC-2025, scheduled to take place in Hawaii in June 2025. For additional details about the event and submission requirements, including a link to send in a film, visit the WGC webpage announcing that Film Festival Submission is Now Open.
