To help organizers of live gaming events to develop a more inclusive experience for attendees with disabilities, Microsoft has also released a “Playbook for Accessible Gaming Events.” This resource provides practical tips for making gaming events accessible, based on the company’s experience. It offers best practices for accessibility developed over the years with the Gaming and Disability community, applying them to industry events such as the Game Developers Conference, Gamescom, and Xbox Fanfest. “These best practices are designed for event product teams as a catalyst for generating ideas and a set of guardrails when planning.” The guide is a living document and will evolve as Microsoft “continues to learn from (the) Gaming and Disability Community.” Read more on the Microsoft Ignite page about the Playbook for Accessible Gaming Events (PAGE)
