The Perkins CVI Protocol℠, a comprehensive and inclusive educational resource for students with Cerebral/Cortical Vision Impairment (CVI), is designed to help teachers of the visually impaired (TVIs) conduct a successful assessment of the condition. Created by The CVI Center at Perkins and funded in part by Reader’s Digest Partners for Sight Foundation (RDPFS), The Protocol is now available as an editable, customized workbook. This new guide provides concrete, step-by-step suggestions for assessing students; templates and guides for reports; and ideas for collaboration with parents/caregivers and the educational team. The individualized CVI “expert evaluation tool” generates recommendations for educating students with CVI. The Perkins CVI Protocol℠ Workbook is available for download free of charge.
