New Accessibility Courses for Educators Released, Free of Charge

Teach Access offers free, self-paced courses for educators to introduce them to “disability and the principles of accessible design across various disciplines.” They also provide guidance to educators on how to begin teaching accessibility in their classes. Two new courses have just been released: Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Organizational Communication. The Industrial/Organizational Psychology course will cover the fundamentals of developing a diverse workforce in this field, with information about recruitment strategies to attract and hire “diverse individuals,” including people with disabilities. It will also provide guidance on implementing accessible and inclusive practices in training and development initiatives. Those studying Organizational Communication will gain skills needed to develop accessible communication strategies for both internal (employee) and external audiences (including “diverse customers”). Participants will learn about incorporating “best practices for implementing inclusive communication plans” throughout their organizations. Additional details about these offerings are available by visiting the links above. For the full list of Accessibility Courses available, visit the Teach Access webpage on Self-Paced Courses for Educators.
