“Becoming an Educated Reader of Research:” A Presentation for Professionals in the Blind and Visually Impaired (BVI) Community on September 17, 2024

“Would you like to be a more confident reader of research?” VisionServe Alliance invites those interested to join in their presentation on “Becoming an Educated Reader of Research,” taking place on September 17, 2024 at 3 pm ET. The presenter will be Robert Wall Emerson, Ph.D., professor of Blindness and Low Vision Studies at Western Michigan University. Among the topics he will discuss are the different types of studies (e.g., retrospective, prospective, etc.); defining general research terminology, such as sample size and statistically significant; and applying research to current practices, to name a few.
