The Guggenheim’s “Mind’s Eye” program brings “ideas, people, and art,” integral to its mission, to participants with vision loss. Visitors are invited to join in an upcoming tour of two exhibitions, A Year With Children and By Way Of: Material and Motion in the Guggenheim Collection. The same program will be offered twice virtually and twice in person at the museum in New York City on the following dates: Online: May 6, 2024 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm ET and May 8, 2024 from 2 to 4 pm ET; In Person: May 13, 2024 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm ET and May 15, 2024, from 2 to 4 pm ET. Guggenheim educators will lead participants through verbal description and discussion. They will explore “artworks that integrate unexpected or unconventional materials and processes,” including from professional artists featured in the exhibition By Way Of, and by students participating in the Guggenheim’s artist-in-residency program in NYC public elementary schools. RSVP is required at least three days prior to the program by calling 212-360-4355 or by emailing [email protected].
