On March 14, 2024, from 1 to 2 pm ET, Ask the TVI (Teacher of the Visually Impaired) Exploring Summer Camps for Children with Vision Loss will highlight the value and enjoyment summer camp opportunities can offer. Advice on choosing a camp as well as tips to prepare for the experience will be provided, along with access to information about specific camps and registration information. On March 18, 2024, from 8:30 to 9:30 pm ET, Tele-Support Talk: Managing Self Care for Parents of Children with Vision Loss will “explore the unique challenges faced by parents raising children with vision loss.” The discussion will also cover techniques for self care for parents and offer tips on coping with a new vision diagnosis as well as the importance of emotional support.
