Across the globe, events are being held to increase awareness of the messages conveyed on World Diabetes Day. Following are two of those being held free of charge online:
Leading up to World Diabetes Day:
On November 13, 2023 from 14:00 to 15:00 CET (11 am to 12 noon ET): Celebrating the Diabetes Community and Progress Towards 2030: The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and World Health Organization (WHO) are co-sponsoring a webinar to spread the word about progress being made to ensure that “all people with diabetes have access to equitable, comprehensive, affordable, and quality treatment and care.” For more information and a registration link, visit the IDF webpage on the WHO and IDF World Diabetes Day joint webinar: Celebrating the diabetes community and progress towards 2030.
On World Diabetes Day:
On November 14, 2023, from 7:25 to 8:35 am ET, the West Yorkshire ICB (Integrated Care Board) World Diabetes Day Lunch and Learn aims to increase awareness about diabetes and provide insights into managing the condition. Discussions and speakers will explore multiple aspects of diabetes, such as “prevention, the importance of having access to information and care to ensure timely management, treatment, and the impact of diabetes-related complications.” Learn more and register on the eventbrite webpage here for the West Yorkshire ICB World Diabetes Day Lunch and Learn.
