Webinar Tomorrow: Ensuring Equal Access to Financial Education and Benefits Counseling for People with Disabilities

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Olmstead decision of the Supreme Court, a landmark ruling that found the “ segregation of people with disabilities” a form of unlawful discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The Disability Employment Technical Assistance Center will recognize the occasion by hosting a webinar on June 11, 2024 at 3 pm to focus on “ensuring equal access to financial education resources and benefits counseling” for individuals with disabilities who are seeking employment. During the webinar, a panel will inform participants about how to access financial education resources through local Centers for Independent Living. The program will also highlight success stories of organizations that have partnered on outreach to advance inclusion and independent living for people with disabilities.
