Professionals seeking to learn more about assistive technology options for individuals who are blind or have low vision can participate in, and potentially receive Continuing Education credit for, this self-paced course from the NRTC (National Research and Training Center) on Blindness and Low Vision at Mississippi State University. The objectives of the course are to: identify types of assistive technology and distinguish them based on their function; recognize the purpose of various types of assistive technology; and gain access to resources for information and on how to stay up to date with assistive technology used by people who are blind or have low vision. This course is available for 1.25 CRC (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor), ACVREP (Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals); and NBPCB (National Blindness Certification Board) credit.
