Organizations that serve, support, or work in other ways with the disability community are invited to join in a webinar covering “Creating Inclusive Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities,” scheduled for May 9, 2024 at 2 pm ET. Hosted by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) in partnership with The Good Jobs Initiative, the program will “serve as a CHIPS for America primer.” The focus will be on CHIPS workforce development requirements along with “policies and strategies related to scaling the American semiconductor industry.” For additional information and to sign up for the webinar, visit the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) webpage for CHIPS for America: Creating Inclusive Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities.
About CHIPS for America
CHIPS for America helps to fund U.S. semiconductor manufacturing. Semiconductors are the memory chips that power electronic devices, such as PCs, smartphones, and supercomputers. Federal funding is focused on strengthening and revitalizing the “U.S. position in semiconductor research, development, and manufacturing – while also investing in American workers.” Read more on the NIST website about CHIPS for America.
