Applications Available for Free Virtual Pilot Summer Entrepreneurship Program

Do you, or does someone you know, have an interest in becoming an entrepreneur? The 2023 IdeaSpark Program offers individuals with disabilities an opportunity to explore how to become “an innovator and entrepreneur.” Through a series of activities over a six-week period, those who participate will identify an entrepreneurial opportunity and develop a realistic business concept. IdeaSpark sessions will be conducted virtually June 6 through July 20, 2023, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 am to 1 pm ET. This collaboration between The Viscardi Center and the Hynes Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Iona University includes the chance for those enrolled to interact with entrepreneurs and experts in their areas of interest and partner with Peer Mentors who are students at the university. A culminating “Pitchfest” event will allow participants to practice presentation skills and share their personal learning experiences, while proposing their business ideas and “competing for equity-free cash grants.”  The application deadline for the Summer 2023 Program is May 19, 2023 at 5 pm ET. For more details about this free, virtual program, download the IdeaSpark Program flyer here. To apply, complete and submit this online application or download the application here.
