National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), observed each October, “we celebrate the value and talent workers with disabilities add to America’s workplaces and economy.” NDEAM highlights supportive, inclusive employment policies and practices that benefit both employers and employees. This year’s official theme, “Access to Good Jobs for All,” confirms the commitment to ensuring that workers with disabilities have access to good employment opportunities throughout the year. As the month of October approaches, the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Office of Disabilities Employment Policy (ODEP) will release posters and other resources to promote awareness of the occasion. For additional details, including a video announcing the 2024 theme, read the DOL webpage on NDEAM and the news release announcing that the Department of Labor Announces ‘Access to Good Jobs for All’ as National Disability Employment Awareness Month’s 2024 Theme.
