Students who are legally blind can connect with professional mentors who are blind as well as with peers and receive financial support to pursue post-high school education through the Team See Possibilities (TSP) scholarship program. TSP provides up to $5,000 to each scholar. To be eligible for the award, applicants must be graduating high school seniors or be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree or a professional trade at a vocational or trade school. TSP, a nonprofit organization, works to develop the next generation of role models who are visually impaired by providing scholarships, mentorship, and peer-to-peer support. The organization’s goal is to inspire and empower “young people with vision loss to thrive and excel.” TSP was founded by Dan Berlin, an endurance athlete who is blind and has run numerous marathons, triathlons, and other challenging pursuits. Learn more about the scholarship by reading the TSP webpage information on eligibility. To become a TSP scholar, visit the link to apply here by April 30, 2024.
