For people with vision loss, job accommodations can be key to finding and retaining employment. Recognizing that millions of Americans have a vision impairment, the Job Accommodation Network (JAN), in its latest newsletter, has featured resources for employers to accommodate employees with low vision. From accessing computer information to writing notes and completing forms or reading a control board, JAN’s resources offer guidance regarding situations where employees may need support. To find out more, read the JAN Newsletter here, which includes a link to their Accommodation and Compliance Series: Low Vision. JAN is funded by ODEP (the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Disability Employment Policy).
