In recent years the development of accessible images and text alternatives has been impacted by evolving “reasoning, best practices, and available technology.” To improve accessibility, developers are building on techniques like “’alt tags’” to introduce newer approaches such as “’Accessible Name’” and “’Accessible Description’” for HTML. During this upcoming webinar, presenters from the Access Board will explain how they have applied these updated principles in developing the Guide to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards. The Guide explains the current ADA Standards released by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Transportation (DOT). Questions may be submitted prior to the session, which will include video remote interpreting and real-time captioning. The webinar is open to all but is recommended in particular for web developers. Continuing Education Recognition is available ACTCP (ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program) and for a certificate of attendance.
